It is important to hold the floss tautly between the thumbs and index fingers, then sliding it up and down gently. The same back and forth motion need to bring the floss up and away from the patient’s teeth. Dental flossing is essential for good oral hygiene, but always be careful, and try not to damage the gum. When taking the next interdentium in hand, always use a clean dental floss section. so that it doesn’t refill the interdentium with the plaque.
