Safety Measures at Medicover Dental Clinic

Your Safety First

In these very challenging times for all of us, our dentistry must do everything to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our patients, medical staff, and visitors.

Therefore, we have set strict sanitary rules on our Clinic that we would like to ask you to kindly follow during your visit.

What we ask from you

Medicover Dental Clinic Entrance - Patient Triage

Before your arrival, our Dental Tourism Managers contact you to inform you about our sanitary rules and ask specific questions about your current health condition focusing on the symptoms of corona virus.

In order to decrease the spread of COVID-19 and to protect fellow staff and patients, it is essential to take every precaution to ensure that anyone entering our Clinic has been symptom-free for two weeks.

Upon arrival, our trained medical staff welcomes you at the entrance: they brief you verbally on our protocols, ask you questions about your health condition, and check your temperature.

Patients who are having high temperature and/or other COVID symptoms (e.g. coughing) will not be permitted to enter our facility; no exceptions.

At Medicover Dental Clinic, the wearing of face mask is mandatory. We provide this equipment for free if needed. We kindly ask you to use hand sanitizers regularly, placed all around the Clinic.

According to the government decree in force, 2 negative COVID-19 PCR test is required to enter the country and avoid the quarantine before starting your treatment at Medicover Dental Clinic.

The first PCR test should be taken at least 72 hours before the arrival in Hungary in one of the Schengen Area countries. Please do not forget to have an English copy of the negative test result to show it to the authorities at the airport, upon arrival.

The second PCR test (for "polymerase chain reaction") should be taken after the arrival, to avoid the quarantine.  It could be performed at Medicover's Clinic or any designated sampling point. Your Dental Tourism Manager will inform you about the details and book you an appointment for the COVID-19 PCR test.

The second result of the COVID-19 PCR test must be negative in order to start your dental care and treatment.

What we do for your safety

Dental treatments are prepared in close contact between the patient and the dentist, so we have made special measures in our daily operation too, to minimize the possibility of any infection.

We want you to feel safe at our Clinic from the first time of entering the building, until the end of your treatment, therefore now we present to you how we contribute to your and our staff’s safety.

We know that now cleaning and disinfecting is the most important thing that we can do to make you feel safe at our Clinic. Therefore we created a special protocol on top of our high-level cleaning and disinfecting regulations.

The waiting rooms are ventilated continuously and disinfected every hour.

Treatment rooms are cleaned and disinfected totally after every patient visit: the dental treatment unit with all equipment, all surfaces in the room, the touch screens, and even the door handle. We use pre-packed, sterilized tools for the treatments that are opened right before use.

Sanitizing station and plastic separator are installed to our reception desk, and we disinfect regularly pens and surfaces to make the check-in safe too.

Protective gear

Because of the close and sustained proximity to the patient (particularly among dentists and their staff), our medical staff is wearing special protective equipment. Face shields are worn in tandem with approved n95 respirators and goggles by the dentists, with isolation gown, surgical-grade nitrile gloves, and hairnet.

We do our best to help you to keep a safe distance from others during your stay. We maximized the number of patients in the waiting room in 4 people. Like this, you can easily keep 2 meters while waiting for your treatment.

We placed informative signals and posters all around the Clinic to make you easier to follow the current hygiene rules. We hope these will help to provide guidance and answers to your questions when our staff may not available to address concerns.
